Our client supplies a wide range of products and services to farmers, and they recognised they needed to modernise their data infrastructure to streamline operations and serve customers better. They wanted a trusted source of data they could base decisions on, and a way to improve overall efficiency.
We built a modern data warehouse on Azure, following a plan, design, build and deploy cycle using Power BI and Synapse, ultimately Microsoft Fabric. We consolidated data from different sources into one place that is easier to manage and analyse, with agile scaling, and put robust single-identity security in place to protect sensitive data and stay compliant. A lot of the work went into data modelling, organising and structuring the data so it is easy to query and analyse.
The client now has a single source of truth that keeps data consistent and accurate across stakeholders, and they were able to move off QlikView. With the new infrastructure they use tools like Power BI to get deeper insight and make better-informed decisions, and the platform is agile enough to respond as the business changes.
